Narangba Valley State School is a co-educational facility that opened stage 1 in 2005 with an enrolment of 144 students from Prep to Year 3.

In 2006, stage 2 opened with three additional Learning Lodges and a Resource Centre, and the school introduced a middle school program adding Years 4-7.

During 2007, the school experienced further construction to welcome an additional Learning Lodge and Music Centre at the beginning of 2008 school year.

The Student Activity Centre and Community Activity Centre were welcome additions to the school in 2010.

In 2011, our Multi Purpose Hall was opened and is a wonderful asset for the school and the community. It has since been named the Hollow - Home Of Leadership, Learning, Opportunities and Wallum (Wallum, or Wal for short, is the school's popular frog mascot).

Villa 7 and 8 were completed in 2012, and Villa 9 in 2013, to cater for the school's growth.

2018 saw the double storey 'Terrace' built.  This multi-purpose space houses 4 classrooms, an Art shed and a third computer lab.

In 2019, with the support of the P&C, airconditioning of all classrooms and learning areas has been finalised.

The school is the centre of a very popular, developing area in the north of Brisbane and enrolments have grown significantly from 144 students in 2005 to 1130 students in 2018.
