Congratulations to all students, staff and community members on a wonderful swimming carnival.  The key focus is on participation and team points for houses.  Special congratulations to Coen house for winning the 2009 carnival and all those students that gained a first, second or third placing.

Our combined choirs will be singing at the Community Lions Carnival on Saturday 24 October at 10.30am.  It would be lovely to have as many supporters as possible. Thank you again Mrs. Murphy for training the students.

Three students from year 7 will be chosen to be involved in the Narangba Sleeper Project.  Students from the local schools get together and design the 2009 sleeper to be placed in the park near the Narangba railway station. Thanks to Miss McKillop who coordinates this project for all the schools.

World Teachers Day is on Friday 30 October.  I commend the teachers at Narangba Valley State School for their dedication and commitment to the students of this community.

Well done to the Chaplaincy Committee for a wonderful Trivia Night.  Funds raised will see Paul Thomas our Chaplain continue to serve our needs of our school.

Sue Harris
Principal
